Ready to Get Your Hands in Clay?
Our self-guided pottery throwing experience invites you to explore the wheel, experiment with clay, and enjoy the simple pleasure of creating. It’s $20 per ball of clay, which covers:
✔️ Your full time at the wheel
✔️ Access to basic tools, water bucket & sponge (for use during your session)
✔️ Apron use (provided on-site)
✔️ A pre-centered ball of clay, ready and waiting for you on the wheel
You’ll have the freedom to shape, squish, and spin to your heart’s content. A potter will be working nearby on the porch — you’re welcome to watch, listen for tips, or ask for help if needed. We also provide an instructional video to help get you started.
This experience is all about enjoying the moment and the creative process. While the pieces you make won’t be fired or kept, the fun and memories are yours to take home.

Looking for something with a little more spark?
Our Raku firing experience invites you into the excitement of this dramatic, hands-on pottery tradition. The cost is $150, which covers:
✔️ Pre-made bisqued vase with a base glaze already applied
✔️ Tools and materials to paint your unique glaze design (for use during your session)
✔️ Apron use (provided on-site)
✔️ Your finished vase to take home at the end
During this activity, you’ll select a pre-made bisqued vase with a base glaze already applied. From there, you’ll add your own touch by painting on the final oxidized glaze.
Once you’ve finished glazing, you’ll watch as your piece goes through the Raku firing process — a fast and fascinating method that brings out beautiful, unpredictable surface effects. Best of all, you’ll get to take your finished vase home the very same day.
The entire experience takes about 1.5 hours and is perfect for anyone curious about the fiery side of pottery — no prior experience needed.
